Long was arrested on March 16, hours after opening fire at three Asian spas in Atlanta and surrounding areas. Six of the eight people killed were women of Asian descent. Long is accused of committing crimes because of the victim's race. However, he denied and said that because he had a sex addiction, he wanted to "remove" the temptation. The incident shook the Asian community and led to many protests across the United States.
