(The Hill) – Tổng thống Donald Trump đă gọi cho Tổng Biện lư tiểu bang Georgia (Cộng hoà), hối thúc ông không kêu gọi các Tổng biện lư (TBL) Cộng hoà khác phản đối vụ kiện của Tổng biện lư Texas Ken Paxton đ̣i vô hiệu hoá kết quả bầu cử tại 4 tiểu bang trọng yếu: Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan và Wisconsin.


Theo tờ The Atlanta Journal – Constitution, cuộc điện đàm diễn ra vào tối thứ Ba, sau khi Tổng biện lư Chris Carr gởi ra tuyên bố, gọi những lập luận mà Paxton đưa ra trong vụ kiện của ông ta “sai trái về mặt hiến pháp, đạo đức và sự thật.”

Cuộc điện đàm theo đề nghị của Thượng nghị sĩ Georgia David Perdue (Cộng hoà), người cùng với đồng nghiệp, Thượng nghị sĩ Kelly Loeffler (Cộng hoà), thông báo ủng hộ vụ kiện của Paxton.

Trên đường dây điện thoại với Loeffler, Trump tỏ ra rất tức giận trước những ư kiến của ông Carr, theo các nguồn tin biết rơ cuộc điện thoại chia sẻ với tờ báo.

Tổng thống cũng công khai chê bai đồng minh cũ, Thống đốc Georgia Brian Kemp (Cộng hoà), trong những ngày gần đây về việc ông Kemp từ chối triệu tập Quốc hội họp phiên đặc biệt để phản đối kết quả bầu cử của tiểu bang.

Tại buổi tập hợp ở Georgia vào thứ Bảy, ông Trump chỉ trích Thống đốc Kemp về sự phản bội trong vấn đề thất bại trong bầu cử, và đề nghị Dân biểu Doug Collins (Cộng hoà – Georgia), người thất bại trong cuộc tranh cử Thượng viện năm nay, nên ra tranh cử chống lại Kemp vào năm 2022.

“Tôi muốn cám ơn Doug Collins. Cám ơn, Doug. Anh ấy làm rất tốt,” Trump nói với đám đông ủng hộ vỗ tay reo ḥ sau khi Tổng thống hỏi, “Dough, anh có muốn tranh cử thống đốc trong 2 năm tới?”

“Anh ấy sẽ là thống đốc đẹp trai,” ông Trump nói.
Tổng thống tung nỗ lực pháp lư tại một số tiểu bang, trong đó có Georgia, trong những tuần gần đây với hy vọng đảo ngược kết quả bầu cử 2020. Trong gần 50 vụ kiện ông Trump và đồng minh đệ lên toà, cho đến nay ông thua 35 vụ, đa số c̣n lại hiện chưa được giải quyết.
