TT Trump "linh cảm" tỉ lệ tử vong do COVID-19 của WHO là giả, tin rằng con số thực tế thấp hơn nhiều

"Tôi cho rằng con số 3,4% [tỉ lệ tử vong do COVID-19] là giả", Tổng thống Trump bình luận về số liệu vừa được WHO công bố trong tuần này.


Tổng thống Mỹ Donald Trump vừa tuyên bố trên sóng truyền hình trực tiếp vào tối thứ 4 (4/3 - theo giờ Washington) rằng ông không tin tưởng số liệu của Tổ chức Y tế Thế giới (WHO) về tỉ lệ tử vong do virus corona, Business Insider đưa tin.

Cụ thể, trong một cuộc phỏng vấn của đài Fox News, ông Trump đã nêu lên quan điểm của bản thân về con số tỉ lệ tử vong 3,4% mới được WHO công bố trong tuần này:

"Tôi cho rằng con số 3,4% là giả. Đây chỉ là linh cảm của tôi thôi, nhưng nó [đánh giá này] được đưa ra dựa trên những cuộc trò chuyện với nhiều nhân vật liên quan. Vì nhiều người sẽ [nhiễm virus], nhưng triệu chứng của họ sẽ rất nhẹ thôi. Họ sẽ hồi phục rất nhanh chóng, và thậm chí còn không cần phải đi khám bệnh" - Tổng thống Trump nói với người dẫn chương trình Sean Hannity.

"Anh chưa từng biết đến những trường hợp đó, nên anh cũng không thể xếp họ vào nhóm người nhiễm bệnh.

[...] Đột nhiên tôi cảm thấy con số 3-4% là một con số rất cao, trái với tỉ lệ 1%", ông Trump bổ sung. Theo The Guardian, có lẽ vị Tổng thống Mỹ đã nghĩ đến tỉ lệ tử vong dưới 1% thường thấy trong các đợt dịch cúm mùa.

Ông Trump tiếp tục bổ sung cho luận điểm của mình: "Nhưng, phải nhắc lại rằng, họ không thể biết đến những trường hợp nhẹ, bởi những người đó không đến bệnh viện. Hầu hết các ca bệnh nhẹ không đến gặp bác sĩ và cũng không đến bệnh viện. Cá nhân tôi cho rằng [tỉ lệ tử vong do COVID-19 ] chỉ ở mức dưới 1%".


Theo Business Insider, con số 3,4% đã được WHO tính toán dựa trên số liệu thống kê về số ca nhiễm/tử vong do COVID-19 trên thế giới cập nhật vào đầu tuần này. Trước đó, tỉ lệ tử vong do COVID-19 là 2% và được dự đoán sẽ còn tiếp tục thay đổi trong tương lai gần.

Tính đến thời điểm hiện tại, đã có hơn 96.000 ca nhiễm và hơn 3.300 ca tử vong do COVID-19 được xác nhận trên toàn cầu. Riêng nước Mỹ có 163 ca nhiễm và 11 ca tử vong.

Business Insider đã liên hệ với phía Nhà Trắng, nhưng đến nay họ vẫn chưa nhận được lời hồi đáp về phát biểu trên của Tổng thống Trump.

Now, this is just my hunch, but based on and lot of conversations with a lot of people that do this, because a lot of people will have this and it is very mild. They will get better very rapidly, they don’t even see a doctor or call doctor, you never hear about those people so you can’t put them down in the category, in overall population in terms of this corona flu, or virus. So you just can’t do that.

So if, you know, we have thousands or hundreds of thousands of people that get better, just by, you know, sitting around and even going to work, some of them go to work, but they get better and then, when you do have a death like you had in the state of Washington, like you had one in California, I believe you had one in New York, you know, all of a sudden it seems like 3 or 4 percent, which is a very high number, as opposed to a fraction of 1 percent.

But again, they don’t know about the easy cases because the easy cases don’t go to the hospital, they don’t report to doctors or the hospital in many cases so I think that [the WHO] number is very high. I think the number, personally, I would say the number is way under 1 percent.
