Ngày thứ năm 23.04.2020, trong một cuộc họp báo ở ṭa Bạch Ốc về cơn đại dịch Sars-CoVi-2, tổng thống Donald Trump đă đưa ra một khuyến nghị sử dụng tia cực tím (ultra violet) chiếu qua da hoặc dùng thuốc diệt khuẩn làm sạch bồn cầu trong nhà tắm để chữa trị Sars-CoV-2. Buổi họp báo có cả sự hiện diện của bác sĩ Dr. Deborah Birx một chuyên viên y tế hàng đầu của Mỹ như Dr. Anthony S. Fauci

Không riêng ǵ người Mỹ, cả thế giới choáng váng, sững sờ trước những phát biểu về phương pháp chữa trị gây chấn động của ông Trump. Các nhà sản xuất thuốc diệt khuẩn Lysol, Clorax…vội vă lên tiếng cảnh báo người tiêu dùng tuyệt đối không uống hoặc tiêm dưới da các sản phẩm của họ để chữa Sars-CoV-2.

Trên mạng xă hội như facebook, chỉ trong ṿng 24 giờ, hàng trăm h́nh ảnh chế nhạo, mỉa mai, đùa cợt, châm biếm ư tưởng nửa quái đản nửa ngu dốt lẫn điên khùng của người lănh đạo tối cao nước Mỹ.

Đây cũng không phải là lần đầu tiên ông Trump, người hoàn toàn không có một chút kiến thức ǵ về y khoa lên tiếng nhận định về cơn đại dịch Sars-CoV-2. Trước đây khi cơn dịch chưa bùng phát, ông Trump mạnh miệng khẳng định trái ngược với giới chức chuyên môn về y khoa là virus Sars-CoV-2 sẽ bị tiêu diệt bởi ánh sáng mặt trời vào tháng 4 khi thời tiết ấm lên.

Lần này với sự hiện diện của bác sĩ Dr. Deborah Birx, ông Trump hi vọng ư tưởng của ông sẽ được y giới ủng hộ nên lại loạn ngôn thêm lần nữa. Nhắc lại niềm hi vọng ánh sáng mặt trời sẽ tiêu diệt vi khuẩn Sars-CoV-2, ông Trump nhấn mạnh thêm là có thể dùng tia cực tím chiếu qua da hoặc bơm thuốc sát trùng, thuốc tẩy vào cơ thể để diệt vi khuẩn.

Sau khi William N. Bryan, thứ trưởng khoa học và kỹ thuật của bộ an ninh nội địa DHS nói rằng họ đă thử nghiệm thành công bằng cách dùng ánh sáng mặt trời và các loại thuốc sát trùng, kể cả thuốc tẩy để tiêu diệt Sars-CoV-2 bằng cách rọi hoặc xịt thuốc thẳng vào bề mặt các nơi có vi khuẩn ít nhất 30 giây.

Hứng thú với phát biểu này của William N. Bryan – người đang bị tố cáo về tội tham nhũng -, ông Trump nói rằng:

“Giả sử chúng ta dùng một lượng tia cực tím lớn hay một loại ánh sáng nào đó cực mạnh chiếu vào cơ thể, uh! Tôi nghĩ, bạn sẽ nói rằng chưa được thử nghiệm…nhưng chúng ta sẽ thí nghiệm chứ? Và tôi sẽ nói rằng giả sử bạn chiếu ánh sáng đó qua da cho nó đi vào cơ thể hoặc bằng cách nào đó”

Sau đó, ông Trump cam kết thêm lần nữa rằng sáng kiến của ông sẽ được thử nghiệm, đồng thơi minh chứng cho lư thuyết của ḿnh về những lợi ích sử dụng thuốc sát trùng, thuốc tẩy bồn cầu trong việc chống lại Sars-CoV-2. Trump nói thêm:

”Và tôi thấy trong một phút, chỉ trong một phút nơi thuốc tẩy được bơm vào, nó sẽ đánh bật các vi khuẩn. Tất nhiên sẽ có cách để đưa thuốc tẩy vào cơ thể, một cách nào đó chúng ta có thể làm được”. Trump nói tiếp: “– Quư vị thấy chứ, nó sẽ đi vào trong phổi, một số lượng lớn sẽ vào trong phổi. Thật là hào hứng để thử nghiệm, xem xét chuyện này”.

Các chuyên gia đă cảnh cáo từ lâu rằng việc sử dụng tia cực tím rất nguy hiểm cho con người nếu dùng không đúng cách, nhất là khi tiếp xúc bên ngoài cơ thể. Hầu như ai cũng biết là tia cực tím là một trong những nguyên nhân gây ra ung thư da.

Các chất tẩy trắng hay thuốc sát trùng giết được vi khuẩn nhưng đồng thời cũng gây nguy hiểm chết người nếu nuốt phải hoặc hít nhằm hơi bốc quá mạnh. Đó chính là lư do luôn có những cảnh cáo với những dấu hiệu rất rơ ràng in thẳng lên các chai, lọ đựng thuốc tẩy và các chất sát trùng.

Theo báo The Hill, Mike Ricci- phát ngôn viên của thống đốc Larry Hogan, tiểu bang Maryland cho biết, cơ quan Quản Trị Khủng Hoảng của tiểu bang đă ghi nhận hơn 100 trường hợp sử dụng thuốc sát trùng để chữa trị Sars-CoV-2 trên đường dây nóng của họ.
