Washington – Phát biểu trước những người ủng hộ ḿnh tại một sự kiện vận động tranh cử của Đảng Cộng ḥa ở New Hampshire vào thứ Sáu, Tổng thống Donald Trump nói rằng nếu nước Mỹ có nữ tổng thống đầu tiên th́ người dân sẽ ủng hộ con gái ông.


“Tôi cũng muốn nh́n thấy tổng thống đầu tiên là phụ nữ, nhưng tôi không muốn thấy nữ tổng thống đầu tiên đạt được vị trí đó như cách bà ấy đă làm”, Tổng thống Donald Trump công kích Thượng nghị sĩ Kamala Harris, ứng viên phó tổng thống của đảng Dân chủ.

“Bà ấy không đủ năng lực. Mọi người đều nói: ‘Chúng tôi muốn Ivanka’. Tôi chẳng trách các bạn được”, ông đề cập đến cô con gái Ivanka Trump, cố vấn cấp cao của Ṭa Bạch Ốc

Đây là cuộc vận động bầu cử đầu tiên của Trump sau khi ông chính thức chấp nhận đề cử của Đảng Cộng ḥa vào thứ Năm cho cuộc bầu cử tổng thống.

Vài giờ trước khi Donald Trump đọc bài phát biểu tại Băi cỏ phía Nam tại Ṭa Bạch Ốc, Kamala Harris cáo buộc rằng các chính sách của Tổng thống là “sự coi thường liều lĩnh” đối với mối nguy hiểm mà một đại dịch sẽ gây ra cho cuộc sống của người Mỹ.

Bà nói rằng Donald Trump đă “thất bại ở công việc cơ bản và quan trọng nhất của một Tổng thống Hoa Kỳ. Ông ấy đă thất bại trong việc bảo vệ người dân Hoa Kỳ”.

Kamala Harris , 55 tuổi, là ứng cử viên tranh cử tổng thống cho đến năm ngoái trước khi cô bỏ cuộc đua v́ thiếu sự ủng hộ của dân chúng. Bà Harris trở lại chính trị sau khi Joe Biden, ứng cử viên tổng thống của Đảng Dân chủ, chọn bà làm liên danh trong cuộc bầu cử ngày 3 tháng 11.

Sinh ra với cha là người Jamaica và mẹ là người Ấn Độ, Kamala Harris là người Mỹ gốc Ấn và phụ nữ da đen đầu tiên được một đảng chính trị lớn của Mỹ chọn cho vị trí hàng đầu.
