Tại một thời điểm trong ṿng đời của Windows 10, bạn có thể cài đặt cùng lúc Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge và Edge mới dựa trên Chromium. Bộ ba này cho thấy Microsoft đă đấu tranh trong việc phát triển một tŕnh duyệt web hoàn hảo như thế nào. Nhưng giờ đây, Internet Explorer sẽ chính thức biến mất cùng với Windows 11.
Ngày hôm qua, Microsoft tiết lộ rằng Internet Explorer sẽ bị “vô hiệu hóa” trong Windows 11. Mặc dù trước đó Microsoft cho biết rằng Internet Explorer sẽ chính thức bị xóa bỏ vào ngày 15 tháng 6 năm 2022.
Người phát ngôn của Microsoft cho biết: “Ứng dụng Internet Explorer 11 sẽ không khả dụng trong Windows 11. Thay vào đó, Microsoft Edge sẽ là tŕnh duyệt mặc định của Windows 11. Công cụ MSHTML sẽ hỗ trợ cho một chế độ giống với IE ở bên trong tŕnh duyệt Edge”.
Đây là lần đầu tiên sau hơn 20 năm, Microsoft không tích hợp tŕnh duyệt Internet Explorer trong hệ điều hành Windows của ḿnh. Tŕnh duyệt Internet Explorer lần đầu tiên được tích hợp vào hệ điều hành Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.5 vào năm 1997.
Trong khi đó, người dùng Windows 10 hiện tại vẫn có thể sử dụng tŕnh duyệt IE, có thể là đến tháng 6 năm sau.
