Michael Bloomberg tuyên bố hôm Chủ nhật, chính thức tham gia chạy đua chức tổng thống Mỹ năm 2020.

Tôi ra tranh cử tổng thống để đánh bại Donald Trump và xây dựng lại nước Mỹ. Chúng ta không thể kiên nhẫn thêm bốn năm nữa cho những hành động liều lĩnh và phi đạo đức của Tổng thống Trump.

Bloomberg trở thành một trong những người giàu nhất thế giới nhờ thành công của công ty tin tức tài chính cùng tên của ḿnh. Sau đó, ông phục vụ ba nhiệm kỳ làm thị trưởng thành phố New York và vào năm 2014 đă được Nữ hoàng Elizabeth tôn vinh .

Trong quảng cáo phát trên truyền h́nh, tỷ phú Bloomberg cam kết “sẽ xây dựng lại đất nước và khôi phục niềm tin vào giấc mơ làm nên nước Hoa Kỳ : nơi người giàu sẽ trả nhiều tiền thuế hơn và tầng lớp trung lưu có được công bằng; nơi mọi người đều có thể có bảo hiểm y tế… và là nơi công việc không chỉ giúp bạn mưu sinh mà c̣n giúp bạn tiến lên phía trước”.

“Và trên tất cả những điều đó, Michael Bloomberg muốn tạo ra những điều tốt đẹp”, đoạn quảng cáo nhấn mạnh. Đây là một phần của chiến dịch quảng cáo trị giá 31 triệu USD của tỷ phú đảng Dân chủ Bloomberg, theo CNBC.

Bloomberg thường xuyên công khai tờ khai thuế của ḿnh khi ông là thị trưởng. Phát ngôn nhân cho biết ông sẽ công khai tờ khai thuế ngay khi ứng cử vào tổng thống

Ông Bloomberg, là người giàu thứ 9 ở Mỹ và thứ 14 trên thế giới, người sáng lập tập đoàn tin tức tài chính, kênh truyền h́nh cũng mang tên Bloomberg, và có tổng tài sản 52 tỷ USD.

Trong 12 năm làm thị trưởng New York, thành tựu nổi bật đầu tiên của ông là cấm hút thuốc lá trong các quán bar tại đây vào năm 2003. Sau đó, ông là người ủng hộ nhiệt thành cho việc kiểm soát súng, và vào năm 2006 thành lập nhóm vận động chống bán súng trái phép, được 1.000 thị trưởng trên khắp nước Mỹ ủng hộ.

Nhưng ông cũng là nhân vật gây tranh căi đối với New York. Người New York nh́n nhận ông là người ủng hộ mạnh mẽ và khuyến khích các dự án bất động sản lớn trong thành phố, khiến giá nhà tăng cao và nhà ở cho người thu nhập trung b́nh ngày càng khan hiếm.

Ông được dân thành phố và người da trắng ở các vùng ngoại ô giàu có biết đến, nhưng ngoài các khu vực đó, ông sẽ khó t́m kiếm sự ủng hộ.

Ông từng ủng hộ cảnh sát New York với chính sách chặn và kiểm tra người khả nghi ngoài đường, vốn bị những người da đen và các nhà hoạt động chỉ trích gay gắt v́ thiên lệch, bất lợi cho cộng đồng da màu, thiểu số.

Ông này cũng háo thắng không thua ǵ Trump. Cử tri không cần biết ông thù ghét Trump ra sao, họ chỉ muốn biết ông sẽ làm ǵ cho nước Mỹ và cho họ. Cử tri sẽ không bầu v́ sự giàu có của ông, v́ họ hiểu ông sẽ không dùng tiền túi của ḿnh mà lo cho họ.
V́ thế, muốn được ḷng cử tri th́ đừng nên nhắm vào Trump, đừng dùng hành động hay lời lẽ bêu xấu như đă rêu rao, và đừng nên khoe ḿnh giàu có hơn Trump.

-Là tỷ phú quá giàu, xa cách người nghèo. Biết đâu nhờ vậy mà ông đă học được sự chia sẻ của Warren Buffett và Bill Gates !
-Ông ra mặt ứng cử khá muộn làm mất cơ hội thuyết phục tại vài tỉnh bang. Biết đâu nhờ vậy mà các ứng cử viên Dân chủ khác mơi mệt bỏ cuộc, nhất là ông cực Tả Bernie Sanders. Một người quá già và đeo đuổi cuộc đua quá dai làm chia bớt phiếu cử tri của đảng DC. Ông này đă có công làm cho Bà hillary clinton mất bớt phiếu thua cuộc !

Điều quan trọng Là TT Trump sẽ khó ngủ v́ một đối thủ quá rành về cách làm giàu của ḿnh.

Slogan của ông chỉ cần nói nước Mỹ 0 nên để Trump hoành hoành tiếp tục đă là một chấm son, 0 cần nói nhiều !

Tuy nhiên, ĐDC có hiệp nhất để đưa ông lên vs. hơn 20 ứng cử viên kia lại là một chuyện khác ! Nhất là Biden vẫn được ḷng các cử tri ĐDC bảo thủ...Nếu ông Bloomberg trẻ hơn khoảng 20 tuổi th́ chắc cũng 0 có ǵ lo ngại...
