WASHINGTON – Nhiều người Mỹ nhận được chi phiếu từ chính phủ liên bang cũng đang nhận được một tâm thư của Tổng thống Donald Trump.


Một bức thư dài một trang của Trump đă được gửi ra cho hàng triệu người Mỹ đă nhận được khoản cứu trợ lên tới 1.200 đô la để giúp nền kinh tế phục hồi sau đại dịch coronavirus .

“Những người đồng hương của tôi”, bức thư tới từ Ṭa Bạch Ốc mở đầu, “Do đại dịch Covid-19, đất nước tuyệt vời của chúng ta đang phải đối mặt với những thách thức về kinh tế và y tế chưa từng có tiền lệ. Với chúng tôi, ưu tiên hàng đầu chính là sự an toàn và sức khoẻ của các bạn”.

“Khi chúng tôi tiến hành cuộc chiến với kẻ thù vô h́nh này, chúng tôi cũng đang làm việc suốt ngày đêm để bảo vệ những người Mỹ chăm chỉ như bạn khỏi hậu quả của suy thoái kinh tế. Chúng tôi cam kết đảm bảo rằng bạn và gia đ́nh của bạn có sự hỗ trợ mà bạn cần để vượt qua thời gian này.”

Tổng thống Mỹ cũng gửi lời cảm ơn Quốc hội đă nhanh chóng phê duyệt gói cứu trợ kinh tế trị giá 2,2 ngh́n tỷ USD.

Tiếp đó, bức thư nêu rơ số tiền người dân được nhận và kết thúc với tuyên bố hùng hồn đậm chất Tổng thống Trump: “Giống như trước đó, nước Mỹ sẽ lại hồi sinh và chinh phục những đỉnh cao vĩ đại mới”.

Nina Olson, giám đốc điều hành của Trung tâm về quyền lợi của người nộp thuế cho biết, điều này sẽ gây hại cho IRS

Các khoản cứu trợ là một phần của gói phục hồi kinh tế trị giá 2,2 ngh́n tỷ đô la đă được Quốc hội phê chuẩn và được Trump kư vào ngày 27 tháng 3. Bộ Tài chính cho biết tuần trước rằng gần 90 triệu người đă nhận được khoản cứu trợ với tổng trị giá gần 160 tỷ đô la.

Bức thư của ông Trump không cung cấp nhiều thông tin. Theo The Washington Post, nhiều người Mỹ phàn nàn về việc Trump cá nhân hoá công tác giải cứu kinh tế với danh nghĩa của Ṭa bạch Ốc

Ông Chris Helmsworth tại Portland chia sẻ: “Tôi vội vàng mở bức thư và mong đợi có thêm thông tin hữu ích. Tất cả những ǵ tôi nhận được là chữ kư của Tổng thống Trump cùng những lời kể về việc gắn kết đất nước. Tôi thắc mắc số tiền để gửi những bức thư phù phiếm này có thể mua được bao nhiêu thiết bị bảo hộ”.

Lănh đạo thiểu số Thượng viện Chuck Schumer, DN.Y., nói Trump “không may xuất hiện để xem đại dịch chỉ là một cơ hội khác để thúc đẩy lợi ích chính trị của chính ḿnh.”

Schumer cho biết ông đang lên kế hoạch đệ tŕnh luật sẽ cấm sử dụng bất kỳ khoản tiền đóng thuế nào “cho bất kỳ hoạt động công khai hoặc quảng cáo nào bao gồm tên, h́nh aenh hoặc chữ kư” của Trump hoặc Phó Tổng thống Mike Pence.

Olson cho biết việc thêm tên của Trump vào chi phiếu và sau đó gửi cho người nhận chi phiếu cùng với một lá thư từ ông có thể làm tổn hại thêm đến uy tín của IRS.

Có người c̣n nói: nếu không thích th́ đừng nhận. Haha...

Chắc họ nghĩ rằng tiền này lụm ngoài đường, chứ không phải tiền thuế của người dân ḿnh đă đóng.

Nếu như cha mẹ gửi tiền cho con th́ đọc thư, c̣n đây là bác Trump giả làm cha mẹ người ta th́ bị tctd quăng thùng rác là phải haha...

v́ họ là dân ăn bám, đâu có giúp ích ǵ cho xă hội nên họ không biết là tiền thuế của dân
