WASHINGTON, DC (NV) – Đô Đốc Quân Y Brett Giroir, phụ tá bộ trưởng Bộ Y Tế, chuyên trách về xét nghiệm dịch bệnh, tuyên bố không có bằng chứng cho thấy hydroxychloroquine, thuốc sốt rét, hiệu quả trong việc chữa COVID-19, tương phản hoàn toàn với nỗ lực thúc đẩy dùng loại thuốc này của Tổng Thống Donald Trump.

Trong cuộc phỏng vấn trên chương tŕnh “Meet the Press” của đài NBC, phát ngày Chủ Nhật, 2 Tháng Tám, Đô Đốc Giroir tŕnh bày, rơ ràng trên căn bản khoa học là hydroxychloroquine không có tác dụng trong việc chữa trị, ông nhấn mạnh: “Khi quyết định cho toa thuốc, hầu hết các bác sĩ đều dựa trên bằng chứng khoa học và họ không bị ảnh hưởng bởi các loại tin nhắn Twitter hay bất kỳ điều ǵ. Và bằng chứng là hiện tại hydroxychloroquine không hiệu quả.”

“Ngay tại thời điểm này, năm cuộc thử nghiệm lâm sàng trên mức độ rộng đă được tiến hành, kết quả cho thấy là hydroxychloroquine không có ích lợi ǵ. V́ thế, hiện tại, chúng tôi không đề xuất dùng loại thuốc này để chữa trị COVID-19,” vị bác sĩ quân y nói thêm, “Chúng ta cần bỏ qua chuyện này, và nên nói về những cái ǵ đem lại hiệu quả.”

Ngay từ khi dịch bắt đầu bùng phát tại Mỹ, Tổng Thống Trump đă cổ vũ niềm tin của ông vào thuốc sốt rét để trị COVID-19. Ông, thậm chí, tiết lộ ḿnh đă uống hydroxychloroquine trong 14 ngày để ngừa bệnh.

Tuần trước, tổng thống đă đăng tải lại một đoạn video đưa h́nh ảnh một bác sĩ ở khu vực Houston lập luận ủng hộ việc sử dụng thuốc sốt rét để chữa bệnh COVID-19.

Sau đó, công ty Twitter đă xóa video trên v́ chuyển tải những thông tin sai lạc về dịch bệnh COVID-19.

Chuyên gia hàng đầu về bệnh dịch, Bác Sĩ Anthony Fauci nhận định: “Đoạn video đó tung tin không đúng sự thật.”

Bác Sĩ Fauci, chuyên gia hàng đầu về dịch bệnh tại Mỹ, người giữ chức giám đốc Viện Bệnh Truyền Nhiễm từ năm 1984, thời Cố Tổng Thống Ronald Reagan, phục vụ suốt 6 đời tổng thống Cộng Ḥa và Dân chủ cho đến nay.

Cơ Quan Quản Trị Dược Phẩm Hoa Kỳ (FDA) vào Tháng Sáu đă rút lại chuẩn thuận khẩn cấp cho phép dùng hydroxychloroquine để chữa COVID-19 với lư do: “Sau thử nghiệm lâm sàng trên số lượng lớn các bệnh nhân nhập viện, kết quả cho thấy thuốc này không làm giảm sự tử vong hay chữa lành bệnh COVID-19.”

Bất chấp những tuyên bố tương tự từ giới y khoa thế giới, cũng như cảnh báo của cơ quan dược phẩm Hoa Kỳ, Tổng Thống Trump vẫn liên tục cổ vũ việc dùng thuốc này để chữa bệnh.

Tại cuộc họp báo ngày Chủ Nhật, 5 Tháng Tư, Tổng Thống Donald Trump tiết lộ, chính phủ Mỹ đă mua 29 triệu liều thuốc sốt rét để chữa COVID-19 và ông cho biết, hiện nay thuốc hydroxychloroquine đă được gửi đến các pḥng thí nghiệm, quân đội, và các bệnh viện.

Hai tuần lễ trước đó, Tổng Thống Trump tuyên bố thuốc sốt rét hydroxychloroquine là “bửu bối” chữa bệnh COVID-19.

Cũng trong cuộc họp báo này, khi phóng viên hỏi về việc sử dụng thuốc sốt rét chưa được FDA chuẩn thuận hoàn toàn, Tổng Thống Trump đáp: “Tôi muốn mọi người được sống. Tôi cũng thấy sẽ có thêm nhiều người chết không dùng thuốc này. Bây giờ, chúng ta c̣n ǵ để mất?”

Ông nói thêm: “Không c̣n thời gian nữa! Không thể chờ thêm các thí nghiệm kéo dài tới vài năm nữa! Nếu thuốc này không hiệu quả với COVID-19, nó cũng không sát hại ai.”

Một phóng viên mời Bác Sĩ Anthony Fauci trả lời về việc dùng thuốc hydroxychloroquine, tổng thống chặn lại: “Ông ấy đă trả lời câu hỏi này tới 15 lần rồi.”

Quay sang ông Fauci, tổng thống ra lệnh: “Ông không cần trả lời câu hỏi này!”

Tại sao có người uống thuốc sốt rét để pḥng ngừa, mà phải bỏ ra 2,1 tỉ để mua 100 triệu liều thuốc khác. Tôi không hiểu!

không biết con Bé Tí giờ chịu đeo chưa.
chắc không chừng nhà nó là nơi có khẩu trang nhiều nhất (mua để dành mang)
