Với mục đích mua vui và làm phong phú hệ sinh thái, ThomasAustin đă đem đến Úc 24 con thỏ. Ai ngờ rằng chỉ 70 năm sau, chúng đă trở thành một thảm họa.

Úc nổi tiếng với biểu tượng là loài chuột túi nhưng một mặt khác lại nổi tiếng với những sinh vật đáng sợ lắm độc nhiều chân (và cả không có chân) như Úc, có vẻ như số thỏ này có vẻ như chính là điểm sáng dễ thương cuối cùng cho quốc gia này.

Tuy nhiên, đằng sau đám động vật lắm lông, lũn chũn một đống thịt cùng khuôn mặt đáng yêu đó lại là vấn đề đau đầu của Úc. Nước này đă phải bỏ ra hàng trăm triệu USD để "đàn áp sự dễ thương" v́ v́ sự dễ thương của chúng ta phá hoại mùa màng nhiều quá...

Nhưng đâu nhiều người biết rằng, câu chuyện của ngày hôm nay bắt nguồn chỉ từ một sai lầm nhỏ trong quá khứ cách đây hơn 150 năm.


Có ai biết rằng đằng sau dáng vẻ ngây thơ này là cả một đám yêu ma đang lộng hành đất Úc

Trở về năm 1859, hồi đó Úc Châu vẫn chỉ là xứ sở nơi người ta vạch tán lá trong vườn cũng có thể t́m thấy nguyên một ổ nhện con nào con nấy to bằng cả cái lồng bàn, mở tủ ra là cả một vườn sinh khuyển cận nhiệt đới, người ta không có nhiều sự lựa chọn cho thú vui săn bắn. Chẳng lẽ cứ đi vồ chim bắt ếch suốt th́ quả là nhàm chán...

Thế là ông Thomas Austin, một người Anh di cư tới Úc đă quyết định mang đến 24 con thỏ thả vào thiên nhiên để "có cái mà săn cho vui". Ông nào ngờ biết rằng, hành động mang mục đích giới thiệu giống loài động vật mới này của ḿnh sau này sẽ bị con cháu oán thán không nguôi.

Tại Úc không có nhiều loài động vật ăn thịt là thiên địch của thỏ, thế nên loài gặm nhấm này cứ thảnh thơi mà sống, hết ăn lại ngủ, hết ngủ lại... t́m đến nhau ngủ chung. Lâu dần vấn nạn thức ăn thừa thăi, thiên thời địa lợi nhân hoà đă dẫn đến vấn đề bùng nổ dân số thỏ. Không lao động, không trốn chạy, không nghĩ ngợi, chỉ đẻ rồi dạy nhau đẻ năm này qua tháng nọ, cuối cùng chỉ sau 70 năm ở Úc đă có tới 10 tỷ con thỏ!


Vấn nạn thỏ đă khiến Úc đau đầu cho đến tận bây giờ.

Nhiều thỏ như thế không phải là niềm hạnh phúc, bởi v́ bọn thỏ chúng nó thích ăn rau. Đam mê quá lớn đối với rau củ đă đưa chúng vào vườn, vào đồng, vào ruộng của nông dân, thi nhau tàn phá, ăn no ễnh bụng rồi lại tiếp tục phởn phơ... đẻ tiếp.

Người Úc đă phải bỏ bao nhiêu mồ hôi công sức để giảm thiểu bớt số thỏ trên lănh thổ quốc gia. Họ xây hàng rào chặn thỏ xâm nhập vào vườn tược cho đến cắn răng tiêu diệu chúng. Sau một thời gian dài chiến đấu, cuối cùng số thỏ vẫn c̣n tới tận hàng trăm con ở thiên nhiên hoang dă.

Cho đến tận bây giờ, cứ mỗi năm Úc lại mất đến 100 triệu USD để đối phó với loài thú gặm nhấm mang vẻ ngoài đáng yêu nhưng tâm hồn tăm tối này.

Kết luận: Thỏ là loài đẻ khoẻ gần nhất so với chuột và muốn làm ǵ th́ cũng phải xem xét t́nh h́nh, mặc dù có mục đích tốt.

LMAO tại tính tui thích học hỏi nên ǵ củng biết chứ tui đéo cần những thứ này hahahaha LMAO.

Nói chơi chứ tui biết chử ngầu pín from vở hài kịch "vỏ ṭng sát tẩu" của Quang Minh, Hồng Đào, Trang Thanh Lan; khi nghe TTL dùng chử ngầu pín, tui không hiểu nên googled it, té ra th́ mà là công dụng như rứa hahaha Những thứ đó mà bỏ vào miệng là nôn ra, I dont care how useful it might be, thà thun, không thích thối hahaha
