Chủ tịch Fed Jerome Powell khẳng định TT Trump không thể sa thải ông sau khi Fed ra quyết định dựa trên số liệu, chứ không phải chính trị.

Xuất hiện trong chương tŕnh 60 Minutes tối qua, Chủ tịch Cục Dự trữ liên bang Mỹ (Fed) - Jerome Powell tiếp tục tránh b́nh luận về những chỉ trích của Tổng thống Mỹ - Donald Trump với chính sách lăi suất của họ. Dù vậy, khi được hỏi liệu Trump có thể sa thải ḿnh hay không, Powell cho rằng điều này là không thể.

"Luật pháp quy định rất rơ ràng. Tôi có nhiệm kỳ 4 năm. Và tôi sẽ làm việc trọn vẹn thời gian đó", Powell cho biết.

Năm 2018, Fed tăng lăi suất tới 4 lần. Việc này khiến Tổng thống Mỹ bất măn và nhiều lần công khai chỉ trích cả Powell lẫn Fed, dù chính ông là người đề cử Powell vào vị trí này thay bà Janet Yellen. Fed bắt đầu nâng lăi dần dần từ cuối năm 2015 sau nhiều năm duy tŕ chính sách lăi suất thấp kỷ lục hậu khủng hoảng tài chính toàn cầu.

Trump cho rằng nâng lăi là rủi ro lớn nhất với tăng trưởng của Mỹ. Bloomberg cũng từng trích lời một nguồn tin thân cận cho biết ông đ̣i sa thải Powell, v́ bất măn quanh việc lăi suất tăng và chứng khoán sụt giảm nhiều tháng.

Powell th́ khẳng định họ sẽ ra quyết định dựa trên số liệu, chứ không phải chính trị. "Chúng tôi được chỉ định thực thi chính sách theo hướng không phụ thuộc vào chính trị, chỉ phục vụ toàn bộ người dân Mỹ. Và đó là điều chúng tôi đang làm. Chúng tôi hoạt động độc lập", ông nói.

Năm 2018, GDP Mỹ tăng tới gần 3%. Dù vậy, nhiều nhà kinh tế học dự báo tốc độ này sẽ co lại trong vài năm tới. Trong phiên họp chính sách cuối tháng 1, Fed đă quyết định giữ nguyên lăi suất. Cơ quan này cũng hủy bỏ cam kết trước đó rằng sẽ "nâng lăi từ từ" và cho biết sẽ "kiên nhẫn".

Trong chương tŕnh tối qua, Powell cũng nhận xét kinh tế Mỹ vẫn đang vững mạnh, dù thừa nhận các thách thức trên thế giới có thể bắt đầu ảnh hưởng đến nước này. "Tôi chỉ muốn nói chẳng có lư do ǵ nền kinh tế không thể tiếp tục tăng trưởng", ông kết luận.

TT Mỹ được dân cử điểu khiển 1 quốc gia, chứ không phải 1 cuộc "diễu t́nh"... Có quyền hành pháp làm cho quốc gia hưng thịnh... theo cái cách của ổng. Nếu dân không tin tưởng th́ bầu TT khác ở nhiệm ḱ sau... Đừng có copycat lũ media ăn cứt tụi Dân Chủ để "luận tội" Trump khi chưa có cái éo ǵ rơ ràng....

Nhưng "SA thải" chứ không phải "xa thải" nghen mậy... Tao rất ngứa mắt đứa nào viết tiếng Việt sai những lỗi như con c. (tao viết tắt đó v́ nói thẳng th́ sao thấy... trần truồng quá.... Hehehehe...)

Cái thằng Dái Lác này nó sống ở dưới cống, nên ngôn từ của nó cũng thế.
Mục đích của nó là khích để ḿnh phải phản ứng lại nó.

Nếu trong 1 ngày mà không ai quote bài của nó, th́ chắc chắn ông chủ sẽ chẳng trả công nó bô nào cả. Vậy là nó sẽ đói.
