Mất tích
Ngày 17/11/2017, hải quân Argentina thông báo rằng tàu San Juan đă không trả lời mọi liên lạc từ ngày 15/11, khi con tàu ở ngoài khơi vịnh San Jorge vào thời điểm đang trên đường quay về căn cứ sau một cuộc tập trận. Đến ngày 24/11/2017, hoạt động t́m kiếm và cứu nạn tàu San Juan có sự tham gia của hơn 30 máy bay và tàu các loại từ Argentina, Anh, Brazil, Mỹ, Chile và nhiều quốc gia khác. Tổng cộng, hơn 4.000 nhân viên từ 13 quốc gia đă hỗ trợ t́m kiếm, rà soát một khu vực có diện tích tương đương Tây Ban Nha.
